Elma Scholarship Emphasizes Leadership
Friday, January 11th, 2008Peoples Savings Bank establishes the first Elma area scholarship.
Youth leadership and financial need are the principal criteria for the first ever scholarship fund to serve the Elma area. Peoples Savings Bank has provided the initial funding for the endowed scholarship of the Elma Area Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa.
The scholarship review committee is to consider four general themes:
The student lives in the Elma area.
The student has a financial need for assistance.
The student was active in extra-curricular.
The student was active in community service.
The scholarship will be first awarded in Spring, 2009.
