PIE Awards to those that help Elma
Sunday, April 20th, 2008The BRIDGE Organization (Elma’s community betterment group) gives a “Program to Improve Elma” PIE Award to those outside the Elma community that have helped make Elma a better place to live. The PIE Award is a certificate and a homemade pie.
During the Horizons Program, PIEs were awarded to our community coach, Brenda Schmitt, and our Visioning facilitator, Paul Fitzgerald for their outstanding assistance. In addition, PIEs were given to Steven Zobeck and Emil Platte for their work on the completion of our welcome signs. Another PIE is to be given to Brent Mehmert for use of his construction equipment during the welcome sign project.
The PIE Award recognizes that others are important to Elma’s future. This is a simple acknowledgement of our collective appreciation for their help.
